2009 Camps
Champaign Scheduleclass in New York CityCampSeminars and Workshops

As always, Master Yang will emphasize a complete training approach in his camps based upon the essential foundation of qigong, form, and push- hands practice. These are the fundamental pillars of taijiquan training and students of all styles are welcome and encouraged to attend. Specific areas of focus for each camp are detailed below.

The camp settings are quite pleasant (especially to those enjoying the outdoors), however the lodging is basic. The 'get away' from the busy world is often cited as a positive experience by attendees, but the days are full with taiji and qigong training. Please click on testimonials to read input from last year's attendees. You may also visit suggested packing for ideas on what to bring.

The price for summer camp is $895.00, which includes meals and lodging in the camp cabins and a t-shirt. Early registrants (those registered 2 months prior to camp) will receive a $50.00 discount. The fall camp this year will be a teacher certification training event for Dr. Yang's Evidence-Based Traditional Taiji (EBTTM) program.

2008 Summer Camp

Summer Camp, June 11-16, 2010, Blowing Rock, N.C.

Note: The Summer camp is now full - registrations are no longer being accepted.

This year will be our 13th annual retreat held at the Blowing Rock Conference Center (formerly the Assembly Grounds) in the Blue Ridge Mountains surrounding Boone, North Carolina. This year Laoshi will focus on the fundamentals: qigong, silk-reeling, push-hands, and energy/application analysis of selected form movements. Emphasis will be placed on deepening understanding of all Taiji movement/practice, as opposed to rote choreography.

The price for camp is $895, with a $50 discount to those registering before April 11, 2010. A $350 deposit is due upon registration. Contact Robert Schlagal for further information or to register.

Note: There is now a shuttle service from the Charlotte airport to Boone and Blowing Rock called Hickory Hop.
